Bellingham OB/GYN is a private practice devoted to specialized women’s healthcare. We are four physicians and two advanced registered nurse practitioners, who practice together and provide fully- trained, board certified, specialty care for women and their obstetric and gynecologic needs. It is our mission to provide exemplary care to the women of Whatcom County and throughout the surrounding area in a professional, courteous and patient –centered manner.

In order to provide such care we each have many years of specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology, are members of professional organizations limited to trained specialists in this field, and maintain our competency by active participation in continuing medical education programs. It is our goal to provide the highest standard of care to women of all ages in a caring and compassionate environment. Dr. Lisa Kaepernick

Dr. Kaepernick grew up on Bainbridge Island near Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Cell Biology. She then went on to earn a Masters Degree in Medical Genetics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Kaepernick met her husband, Jim, in Wisconsin. She worked in the Department of Pediatrics at Michigan State University School of Medicine as a pediatric/adult genetic counselor followed by three years as a prenatal genetic counselor in California. Realizing that she really wanted to deliver babies, Dr. Kaepernick returned to the University of Wisconsin to earn her Medical Degree, graduating with honors and completing her residency in 2003. She and her husband have two boys. She enjoys spending time with her family which usually involves watching kids play sports, and in her free time enjoys knitting, sewing, skiing and spending time in our beautiful outdoors. Dr. Kaepernick specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including outpatient hysterectomies.

Dr. Michael Mallory

Dr. Mallory has been in private practice for 13 years and with Bellingham OB/GYN since 2000. Dr. Mallory graduated from Auburn University in 1988 with a bachelors in Chemistry/Premed. He went on to the University of Alabama, School of Medicine graduating in 1992, then completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida in 1996. While in medical school, Dr. Mallory met and married his wife Kimberly. They have four children. Dr. Mallory is an active member of St. Joseph Hospital Credential Committee, and serves as a Board Member for Bellingham Anesthesia and Surgical Associates. Dr. Mallory very much enjoys the outdoors, and spends much of his free time bicycling, backpacking, climbing and camping.

Dr. C. Shayne Mora

Dr. Mora is the current president of Bellingham OB/GYN and has been part of the practice since 1998. His undergraduate degree was in Biology at Florida State. He served in the Peace Corps for two years before beginning medical school at the University of Florida. He completed residency in 1998. He enjoys all aspects of routine and high-risk obstetrics as well as Gynecologic care, management, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Mora lives in Bellingham with his wife, Rosemary and they have three children. In his free time he enjoys bicycling, travel, surfing, backpacking and being out in the wonderful landscape that surrounds us.

Cindy Beske, CNM, ARNP

Cindy Beske, CNM, ARNP has been practicing as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health for the past 25 years. She received her CNM from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing and is Board Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She enjoys seeing a variety of patients, from puberty through past menopause. She has experience with urogynecology and pelvic floor physical therapy. She is also a Certified Health Coach.

In her spare time, Cindy likes gardening, canoeing, hiking, and reading. She resides in Mount Vernon with her husband, Herb, and their 3 dogs.
