Meet the Providers

Bellingham OB/GYN is a private practice devoted to specialized women’s healthcare. We are four physicians and two advanced registered nurse practitioners, who practice together and provide fully- trained, board certified, specialty care for women and their obstetric and gynecologic needs. It is our mission to provide exemplary care to the women of Whatcom County and throughout the surrounding area in a professional, courteous and patient –centered manner.

Bellingham OBGYN

In order to provide such care we each have many years of specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology, are members of professional organizations limited to trained specialists in this field, and maintain our competency by active participation in continuing medical education programs. It is our goal to provide the highest standard of care to women of all ages in a caring and compassionate environment. We hope you consider us for your obstetric and gynecologic care.

Your first appointment is generally with the physician to confirm your pregnancy and includes an ultrasound. If you are due for your annual exam it is often done at the same appointment.  Please allow 1 – 2 hours for this appointment. Occasionally individual differences in pregnancies direct alternative sequencing of initial appointments. Please call us as soon as you suspect you are pregnant so we can set up the best care. At your first appointment, Bellingham OB/GYN requires a $100 deposit, paid upon check-in. This deposit goes towards your out of pocket costs for this first appointment.

Subsequent appointments will be with one of the physicians or nurse practitioners for routine checkups. Patients are generally seen monthly for the first two trimesters and twice weekly or weekly in the third trimester. If problems, concerns, or complications arise we can see patients for urgent care or extra appointments. Pelvic exams are usually performed at the beginning and at the end of the pregnancy. Ultrasound are performed at our office. Bellingham OB/GYN has partnered with Quest Diagnostics and offer our patients in office lab services between 8am – 4pm, Monday through Friday expect holidays.

You are welcome to bring your support person(s) to your appointments. We encourage you to find alternative childcare due to the fact this appointment is rather long and may include an annual exam.

We rotate our “on-call” days so we always have a well-rested physician caring for you. One of us is assigned to deliver all of the babies for Bellingham OB/GYN each day. Therefore we suggest you meet each of the physicians during the course of your prenatal care. We recognize, though, that patients may prefer to schedule appointments with specific providers. We will do our best to accommodate these preferences, please let us know what works best for you when scheduling your visits.

Bellingham OB/GYN does have an after hours line that should be used for EMERGENT phone calls only. If you have a none urgent OB question, please wait until regular business hours to call and speak with a triage nurse. Thank you for your understanding.
