Judith moved to the Northwest from the Ohio River Valley in her early twenties. She soon started her career in healthcare by studying alternative medicine in the form of body work known as Jin Shin Do Acupressure and in 1985 became a Licensed Massage Therapist. Feeling inspired to pursue more education in the medical field, Judith finished her Bachelor’s in Nursing at Eastern Washington University in 1991. At that time, she had a goal to become a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner but found herself happily working with mothers and families as a labor and delivery nurse at Skagit Valley Hospital. While still working and raising a family, she enrolled in the University of Washington Master’s of Nursing program and received her ARNP in Women’s and Adult Health in 2001. For the next 13 years, she worked as an ARNP in an OB/GYN office in Mount Vernon. Judith joined Bellingham OB/GYN in December of 2014 and has continued to find it both a joy and a privilege to care for women from teenage through menopause years. In her spare time, she finds peace and joy working in her garden, hiking in the outdoors, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and practicing yoga.
