Therese Horan was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. She greatly valued all Alaska had to offer but knew relocation was in order to pursue her passion for women’s healthcare. In 2007, Therese and her daughter Rose relocated to Seattle in order for Therese to attend the Nurse Practitioner program at Seattle University. Early on, she focused her studies on women’s health care, including becoming a doula and attending lactation consultant training. Therese initially became a Family Nurse Practitioner, and later became a Certified Nurse Midwife in order to provide full scope of women’s health care. Currently, Therese specializes in outpatient midwifery and gynecologic care. She is passionate about providing personal, high quality care to all women, with a focus on treating the whole person. Therese and her husband Jake recently relocated to Bellingham with their three spirited daughters. They enjoy trail running, hiking, rock climbing, yoga, and the arts.
